According to government data from 21 CGST zones, the prices of 30 out of 54 daily-use items saw more-than-expected price reductions following GST reforms. The items include butter, ghee, cheese, shampoo, talcum and face powders, clinical diapers and powder soap. Table, kitchen and other household articles of iron, steel and copper, toys and umbrellas also saw such unexpected price cuts.
