While Netflix's Roma has earned the streaming platform its first nomination in the Best Picture category at Oscars 2019, Black Panther has become the first superhero film to be nominated. Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman has landed the 61-year-old veteran filmmaker his first nomination in this category. Former US Vice President Dick Cheney's biopic Vice is also nominated.
