Businessman Gopichand Hinduja, who died aged 85, had empire worth ₹33.68 lakh crore with several firms across Asia, Europe, and Americas. Employing over two lakh people through 11 investment verticals, firms falling under the empire include Ashok Leyland, Gulf Oil International, IndusInd Bank, Hinduja Bank (Switzerland), PD Hinduja Hospital, and British Metal Corporation (India), among others.
