According to the Centre for Research on Energy and Clean Air (CREA) winter 2025–26 air quality analysis, Ghaziabad ranked as the most polluted city in India, with Noida in second place and Delhi in third. Reports stated that 204 Indian cities exceeded India's PM2.5 standard, up from 173 last winter. Greater Noida ranked fourth in the most polluted city.
