A ₹50 lakh home loan at 7.9% for 20 years would have an EMI of ₹41,511, with nearly ₹49.6 lakh paid as interest, reported NDTV Profit. In contrast, investing ₹41,500 monthly via SIP at 12% could grow into over ₹4.14 crore in 20 years. It could cross the ₹50 lakh home-buying target in about seven years, growing to ₹54.77 lakh.
