CM Mamata Banerjee-led TMC secured 34 out of 42 seats in West Bengal in 2014 general elections. Congress won four seats while BJP and CPI(M) won two seats each. In 2019, TMC won 22 seats, while BJP and Congress won 18 and two seats, respectively. Exit polls have predicted that BJP will win more seats than TMC in 2024 elections.
