Civil Aviation Ministry mandated that airlines allocate 60% of seats to flyers without selection fees and has asked them to ensure that flyers travelling on the same PNR are seated together. The ministry has also directed strict adherence to passenger rights framework during delays, cancellations and denied boarding. It mandated communication of passenger entitlements in regional languages too.
