As many as seven cricketers, who featured in India's T20 World Cup 2022 squad, are not a part of T20 World Cup 2024 squad. KL Rahul, who was India's vice-captain in 2022 edition, has not been included. The other six players are Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Karthik, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Harshal Patel.
