Chennai Super Kings, who finished seventh in IPL 2020, have released six players from their squad and retained 18 players. Kedar Jadhav, Piyush Chawla, Murali Vijay, Harbhajan Singh and Monu Singh are the Indian players released by CSK. Meanwhile, Shane Watson, who retired from all forms of cricket, is the only foreigner released by CSK.
