Large deposits of 15 rare Earth elements have been found in Andhra Pradesh, the National Geophysical Research Institute in Hyderabad said. The elements include allanite, cerite, thorite, columbite, tantalite, apatite, zircon, monazite, pyrochlore, euxenite and fluorite. These elements are used in cellphones, televisions, computers and automobiles and can also be used to make permanent magnets.
