IMD has predicted heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and strong winds across several parts of Northeast, South and East India in coming days. Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Tamil Nadu are likely to receive heavy to very heavy rain. Thunderstorms and gusty winds are also expected in Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha. Rajasthan may witness isolated duststorms this week.
