Which states saw highest number of suicides in men due to marriage reasons?
At least 4,237 Indian men took their own lives due to marriage related reasons in 2022, according to data accessed by India in Pixels by Ashris. Maharashtra with 697 cases saw the highest number of such suicides in 2022. This is followed by UP (529), MP (358), Tamil Nadu (356), West Bengal (295), Karnataka (284), Rajasthan (245) and Gujarat (225).
