Goa has the highest percentage of diabetics in India at 26.4%, followed by Puducherry (26.3%), Kerala (25.5%), Chandigarh (20.4%) and Delhi (17.8%), according to an ICMR study published in the UK medical journal Lancet. The percentage of diabetics in Tamil Nadu is 14.4%, followed by West Bengal (13.7%), Sikkim (12.8%), Punjab (12.7%) and Haryana (12.4%).
