TVK leader VS Babu has defeated DMK chief and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin in Kolathur constituency by over 8,000 votes. Babu, who joined TVK in February 2026, was earlier part of AIADMK and DMK. The 75-year-old, who was overseeing Kolathur during the 2011 election, quit DMK when Stalin replaced him after holding him responsible for his lower-margin win.
