Certain vitamins and minerals can hamper each other and could also lead to harmful reactions if taken together, according to an Ohio State University article. While Vitamin C can interfere with Vitamin B12's absorption, Vitamin E can decrease the effectiveness of Vitamin K, it stated. In minerals, calcium should not be taken with magnesium, copper or iron, it added.
