Phalodi in Rajasthan was the hottest city in India on Sunday with a maximum temperature of 49.8°C. This was followed by Barmer 49°C, Bikaner 48.6°C, Jaisalmer 48.5°C, Delhi's Mungeshpur 48.3°C and Najafgarh 48.1°C. Ganganagar recorded 47.8°C, Churu and Jhansi 47.6°C, Faridkot 47.4°C and Kota 47.1°C.
