As per the World Air Quality Report 2021 by Swiss organisation IQAir, Bangladesh was the most polluted country last year. Bangladesh was followed by Chad, Pakistan and Tajikistan. Meanwhile, India was the fifth most polluted country, followed by Oman, Kyrgyzstan, Bahrain, Iraq and Nepal. No country met the latest WHO air quality guideline for PM2.5 in 2021, the report added.
