'Whistled language' spoken in Turkish village on UNESCO list

The 'whistled language' used as a means of communication in Turkish village Kuskoy has entered the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list. Roughly 500 years old, it was once widespread across the Black Sea regions. With over 400 words and phrases, it is used to communicate in the rugged terrain where it could otherwise be hard to communicate at a distance.
