Whitestone Reit soars premarket after MCB raises acquisition bid
Whitestone REIT (WSR) shares rose 12% in premarket trading after MCB Real Estate renewed its takeover bid, offering $15.20 per share in cash. MCB warned it may vote against Whitestone board if no progress is made toward a deal. Whitestone had previously rejected a $15-per-share proposal, saying it undervalued the company.
