WHO has issued an emergency use listing for CONVIDECIA, a COVID-19 vaccine manufactured by China's CanSino Biologics. WHO has recommended the vaccine's use for people aged 18 and above. The vaccine has reportedly shown efficacy of 64% against symptomatic disease and 92% against severe COVID-19 infection, it said. Notably, this is the third Chinese vaccine to be granted such clearance.
