WHO-backed trivalent flu vaccine now available in India

India has introduced a trivalent influenza vaccine for the first time, aligning with WHO and CDC recommendations. The vaccine excludes the B/Yamagata strain, absent globally since 2020. Recommended for individuals above 6 months, it aims to enhance seasonal flu protection, especially for infants, the elderly and those with chronic conditions.
