A nomination for Nobel Peace Prize is considered valid if it is submitted by members of national assemblies and national governments, and university professors, professors emeriti and associate professors of history, social sciences, law, philosophy, theology, and religion. Past Nobel Peace Prize winners, and current and former members of Norwegian Nobel Committee can also nominate a person.
