Mohammad Yousuf won Player of the Match award when Pakistan defeated India in their first Champions Trophy meeting in 2004. Yousuf's 81* had helped Pakistan chase down 201-run target. In 2009, Pakistan's Shoaib Malik won the award, followed by India's Bhuvneshwar Kumar in 2013, Yuvraj Singh in 2017 group stage match and Pakistan's Fakhar Zaman in the 2017 final.
