Who is Aarav Dengla, who became India's 93rd chess Grandmaster?

Seventeen-year-old Aarav Dengla became 93rd Indian to earn chess Grandmaster title, achieving classical live rating of 2506. He had earned his first GM norm in 2022. Aarav, who had started learning chess at age five, won FIDE World Schools Rapid and Blitz titles in 2024. He had won his International Master title in 2024 and FIDE Master title in 2022.
