Baltej Singh, who is the nephew of one of the bodyguards who assassinated ex-PM Indira Gandhi in 1984, is serving a 22-year jail sentence for importing drugs. He was a businessman based in Auckland before he rented an industrial unit and began importing drugs. His name came out recently after he lost the bid to keep his name a secret.
