Fugitive diamantaire Mehul Choksi and his wife Priti had in 2021 accused Barbara Jabarika of "honey-trapping" and abducting him from Antigua and Barbuda. After he was arrested in Dominica for 'illegal entry', Choksi claimed he was tortured and placed on a boat to Dominica. Priti indicated Barbara may've been part of Indian operation to extract Choksi out of Antigua.
