Dalveer Bhandari, who was re-elected to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday, served as a judge in India for over 20 years before being elevated to the UN court. He served as a Supreme Court judge from 2005-2012. In one of his landmark judgements, Justice Bhandari granted divorce to a couple on grounds of "irretrievable breakdown of marriage".
