After class 12th, Dinesh Thakkar started Angel Broking in 1996. It started by making people as he made them authorised persons to deal in stock market and shared 50-70% of commissions based on experience. In 2019, it pivoted to 100% digital operations. Today, Angel One is the third largest broking firm in the country after Zerodha and Groww.
