New York City Mayor Eric Adams, who'd won 2021 mayoral polls as a Democrat, is running as an Independent against Zohran Mamdani. He has served in New York City Police Department for 22 years and once worked as an escort for boxer Mike Tyson. Adams previously served in New York State Senate. He was indicted on corruption charges last year.
