Om Prakash, a 1981-batch IPS officer from Bihar, served as Karnataka's Director General and Inspector General of Police from 2015 to 2017. He held key positions, including Commandant General of Home Guards and Director-General of Fire and Emergency Services. On April 20, 2025, he was found murdered at his Bengaluru residence; his wife Pallavi is the prime suspect.
