Actress Swara Bhasker's husband Fahad Ahmad joined the Samajwadi Party in August 2022 and is currently the State President of Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha, a Youth Wing of Samajwadi Party Maharashtra. He graduated from Aligarh Muslim University and completed his M.Phil in social work from TISS, Mumbai. At TISS, he was elected the students' union General Secretary in 2017 and 2018.
