Computer scientist Geoffrey Hinton, also known as the 'Godfather of AI', has quit Google. Hinton received his BA in Experimental Psychology from the University of Cambridge and his PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Edinburgh. The 75-year-old, who is also a professor at the University of Toronto, joined Google in 2013 after it acquired his AI startup DNNresearch.
