Halla Tomasdottir, a businesswoman and investor, has won Iceland's presidential election, defeating a strong field that included three women, according to the country's official broadcaster. Tomasdottir won the primarily ceremonial post with 34.3% of the vote, defeating former Prime Minister Katrin Jakobsdottir (25.2%) and Halla Hrund Logadottir (15.5%).
