Hashem Safieddine, who'll succeed Hassan Nasrallah as chief of Hezbollah, is Nasrallah's cousin and the current head of political affairs of the group. Safieddine was designated a terrorist by the US State Department in 2017. Born in Lebanon, Safieddine is a "key member" of Hezbollah's executive Shura Council and his son is married to slain Iranian General Qasem Soleimani's daughter.
