India-origin AI maverick Soumith Chintala is quitting Mark Zuckerberg's Meta after an 11-year stint. Chintala co-founded PyTorch for Meta, while he is currently listed as an "AI Fixer" connected to Zuckerberg's tech giant on his LinkedIn profile. He grew up in Hyderabad, earned his Master of Science degree in Computer Science from New York University, and joined Meta in 2014.
