Congress leader Shashi Tharoor's son, Ishaan, who was laid off by The Washington Post, joined the organisation in 2014. He is a US-based journalist known for international affairs commentary and launched and authored The Washington Post's WorldView column in 2017. Born in Singapore in 1984 during his father's diplomatic posting, he studied history at Yale University in 2006.
