KP Ramasamy has made his debut on Forbes India's 100 Richest list with $2.3 billion (₹19,146 crore) wealth. He's the Founder and Chairman of textiles and sugar maker KPR Mill. A farmer's son and a college dropout, the 74-year-old founded KPR Mill in 1984. The company produces 128 million garments annually which are exported to H&M, Marks & Spencer, Walmart.
