South Korea's liberal party candidate Lee Jae-myung won the Presidential elections on Tuesday. Born in 1963 into poverty, Lee started factory work after primary school, where he suffered permanent arm injuries in an industrial accident. He went on to study law with a full scholarship and became a human rights lawyer before entering politics.
