Madhabi Puri Buch has been appointed as the first-ever woman Chairperson of SEBI. She was not only SEBI's first woman whole-time member but also the first person working at SEBI from the private sector. An IIM Ahmedabad alumna, Buch started her career with ICICI Bank, joined Greater Pacific Capital in Singapore and also served at New Development Bank in Shanghai.
