The Congress, citing an audio clip, has alleged that BJP leader Manikanta Rathod was conspiring to kill Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge and his family members. Rathod is BJP's candidate from the Chittapur Assembly seat in the upcoming Karnataka polls. He has around 40 criminal cases, including that of murder, registered against him in several districts of Karnataka including Kalaburagi.
