Mira Murati is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of ChatGPT-maker OpenAI. She was promoted to the role from SVP of Research, Product and Partnerships in May 2022. Before joining OpenAI in 2018, Murati worked at Leap Motion as VP of Product and Engineering and as Senior Product Manager at Tesla. She holds Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Dartmouth College.
