Omar Ayub, nominated for Pakistan PM's post by the PTI, is the grandson of Pakistan's second president Ayub Khan who ruled Pakistan from 1958 to 1969. According to DAWN, Omar made his debut in Pakistan's National Assembly in 2002 and later served in Shaukat Aziz's cabinet as the state minister for finance. He contested 2018 polls as PTI candidate.
