Google on Friday celebrated PK Rosy, the first woman lead in Malayalam cinema. She was born in 1903 in a Dalit family, who were grass cutters. She learned traditional Kakkarissi Natakam and in 1928 appeared in JC Daniel's film Vigathakumaran. Rosy played a Nair woman which angered the upper-caste community, and she was forced to leave film industry and Kerala.
