TS Kalyanram was born in Thrissur (Kerala) to a Brahmin family. After his family's textile business was divided, he started Kalyan Jewellers in 1993. Kalyan jewellers started by displaying jewellery with price tags instead of old-age booklets. Today, Kalyan Jewellers does revenue of Rs 14,000 CR and has 200 stores in UAE and India.
