Indian-origin Vaibhav Taneja, who studied B.Com at Delhi University (DU) and later pursued Chartered Accountancy from ICAI, has been named Tesla's new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Taneja joined Tesla after the electric carmaker acquired SolarCity in 2016. Prior to that, the 45-year-old was employed at PwC in both India and the US between July 1999 and March 2016.
