Varun Vummadi, who turned down a PhD offer from Stanford and a ₹4 crore job offer to build his own startup, has now raised $61 million. Vummadi pursued B.Tech in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur from 2019 to 2023 before starting an AI startup, Giga, with his classmate Esha Manideep. Giga automates customer operations at scale.
