Former Defence Secretary Vijay Singh has found himself at the centre of the standoff at Tata Trusts after resigning from Tata Sons' board in September. He's a retired IAS officer of Madhya Pradesh cadre (1970 batch). He first joined Tata Sons's board in 2013 and stepped down in 2018 before returning in 2022 after retirement rules changed.
