Former Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik's aide, VK Pandian, who announced his decision to quit active politics, is a former IAS officer. He was appointed as the private secretary of Patnaik in 2011 and held the post until 2023. He was appointed as Chairman of 5T (Transformational Initiatives) after he opted for voluntary retirement from his civil services career.
