Mithun Sancheti studied gemology in the USA and ran his family business, Jaipur Gems. In 2008, he started Caratlane to sell jewellery at affordable prices. In 2023, Caratlane did Rs 2200 CR in revenue and had 227 stores across 88 cities in India. In July 2016, Titan acquired 62% of Caratlane.
