Nemesio 'El Mencho' Oseguera, who was killed by the Mexican army during a US-backed military operation on February 22, was a most-wanted Mexican drug lord and leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The cartel is responsible for trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, and fentanyl to the US. The former police officer had a $15 million US bounty on his head.
